Sharing a physical body is considered normal in Alesta. Spirits who cannot rest seek out and integrate with living bodies to accomplish whatever task is preventing them from achieving peace. Acacius Alfawolf, however, is not just any spirit. This legendary figure was critical to overthrowing a corrupt state whose success would have ushered in decades of tyranny. Assisting him discover why he’s returned is a task Alvin, his host, is only too happy to perform.
After surviving a kidnapping and putting other figures from that period behind bars, Alvin, Alfa, and their group of friends think that they can return some semblance of normalcy to their lives… until they are transported against their will to a barren planet. Two sisters, claiming to be the goddesses of Life and Death, greet the suspicious Alestans, outlining a task of enormous importance. Shadows, a term for aggressive spirits, are destabilising the energy channels throughout the universe, causing black holes to form and consume everything in their path.
To prevent this occurrence the goddesses will inoculate several key planets with Shadow pieces of the Alestan’s spirits. Thus begins an adventure no Alestan has ever faced; a journey across time and space in which the protagonists’ must overcome emotional torment and haunted pasts to save themselves.
